Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Volex Labs (“Volex Labs”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our websites and products, including Volex Anvil (volexlabs.com) and Volex Forge (forge.volexlabs.com). We are the data controller under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR.

We share the minimum necessary data with vetted service providers who process it on our behalf under contract:

5. International transfers

Our primary application data is hosted by our providers Railway (application and database) and Vercel (website delivery), whose data centres may be located in the United States and/or the European Economic Area. Where a processor transfers data outside the UK/EEA, that transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep it

We keep account and calculation data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account we delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, with two exceptions: billing and invoice records are kept for 7 years because UK tax law requires it, and security audit logs (sign-in times and IP addresses) are kept for 12 months so we can investigate account compromise. Anything we cannot put a period on is deleted when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for.

7. Your rights

Under the UK/EU GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, contact hello@dailyvolex.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, or your local supervisory authority in the EEA.

8. Cookies

Our marketing site uses no tracking cookies; analytics are cookieless. The application uses only strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. See our Cookie Notice for details.

9. Children

Our products are intended for professional and business use and are not directed at children under 16.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the site or by email. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
