Volex Labs / Forge / Angle iron generator — text to CAD.

Angle iron generator — text to CAD.

Describe the section — two leg lengths, a thickness and a length — and Volex Forge builds the L-profile as one solid and returns a STEP, STL or DXF.

Equal and unequal angles both work: 50×50×6 and 100×75×8 are the same sentence with different numbers. The legs come out the length you asked for, which is checked by measuring the part rather than trusting the prompt.

Frequently asked

Equal or unequal angle?
Either. Give both legs — “100x75x8” builds an unequal angle with a 100 mm and a 75 mm leg; give the same number twice for an equal angle.
Does it have a root radius?
No. The profile is built square at the root, which is the right model for a cut-and-weld drawing or a 3D print. If you need the rolled root and toe radii of a specific standard section, say so in the prompt and check the result against your section tables.
Can I use this for a structural check?
This generates geometry, not a design check. For member design to Eurocode, use Volex Anvil — it does the checks and shows the clause.
Which format should I use?
STEP for CAD and CNC, STL for 3D printing, DXF for the 2D outline.
